Bullying Navigations & Support

You Don't Have to Navigate Bullying Alone.

When a young person experiences bullying or difficult peer relationships, knowing what to do next can feel overwhelming. PEER Kindness is here to help students and families find guidance, support, and a path forward.

Through bullying navigation services and connections to trusted community resources, we work to help young people feel safe, supported, and heard.

Navigating Bullying, Together

Every student's experience is different, and there isn't always a simple answer when bullying or peer conflict occurs.

PEER Kindness provides individualized guidance to help students and families better understand their situation, explore appropriate next steps, and connect with additional support when needed.

Bullying navigation may include:

  • Understanding the situation: Helping families recognize bullying behaviors, navigate peer conflict, and identify concerns.

  • Exploring next steps: Offering guidance and resources to help students and caregivers respond to challenging situations.

  • Supporting school communication: Helping families consider how to work with educators and school staff to address concerns.

  • Connecting with resources: Identifying appropriate community support and counseling referrals when additional help may be beneficial.

Our goal is to help families feel informed, empowered, and supported as they navigate challenging experiences.

We're excited to announce a new partnership with Lighter Minds Counseling, co-founded by Alyssa Thomas and Holly Brooks.

With more than a decade of experience providing counseling and guidance to students and parents on Colorado's Western Slope, the Lighter Minds team brings valuable expertise to PEER Kindness's bullying navigation work.

Beginning in spring 2027, Lighter Minds counselors will become a more regular presence at the PEER Kindness House on 4th Street, advise PEER Kindness staff on bullying navigation cases, and help connect students and families with professional counseling services when appropriate.

This partnership builds on PEER Kindness's commitment to helping young people navigate difficult experiences while expanding access to trusted, individualized support.

PEER Kindness provides bullying navigation guidance and resource connections. Professional counseling services are provided independently by qualified counseling professionals.
